We are the Order of Carmelites, Province of the Most Pure Heart of Mary… a community of friars serving through prayer, community, and ministry in North America. Our Provincial seat is in Darien, IL on our campus which is home to one of our Spiritual Centers, The National Shrine of St Therese of Lisieux, Museum of St Therese of Lisieux, and our Carmelite Gift Shop. The Carmelites of the Province of the Most Pure Heart of Mary, in allegiance to Jesus Christ, live in a prophetic and contemplative stance of prayer, common life, and service. Inspired by Elijah and Mary and informed by the Carmelite Rule, we give witness to an eight-hundred-year-old tradition of spiritual transformation in the United States, Canada, Peru, Mexico, and El Salvador, and Honduras. We serve in a variety of ministries - parishes, retreat centers, schools, and more. https://carmelites.net/ministries/

A few words to convince you?

Our motivation to participate in Podcasthon is rooted in both mission and outreach. As the Order of Carmelites, Province of the Most Pure Heart of Mary, our charism calls us to witness to prayer, contemplation, community, and service in the Church and the world. Podcasthon offers a unique opportunity to share the richness of the Carmelite spiritual tradition—shaped by 800 years of lived faith and expressed today through our ministries in parishes, retreat centers, schools, and spiritual centers. At the same time, participating allows us to broaden awareness of our work, deepen recognition of the Carmelite presence in North America, and connect with new audiences seeking spiritual meaning, transformation, and hope. We see Podcasthon as a natural extension of our ministry: amplifying a message of prayer and service through modern, accessible media.
