Rise Above Parkinsons, Inc. is a Florida-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to helping people living with Parkinson’s disease maintain independence, dignity, and quality of life. We provide direct financial assistance for essential needs such as medication, therapy, mobility equipment, exercise programs, and other wellness resources not covered by insurance. By reducing financial stress and improving access to care, we also ease the emotional and practical burden on caregivers and family members who play a critical role in daily support. Our mission is to empower individuals and families affected by Parkinson’s to stay active, supported, and hopeful while raising awareness about the importance of movement, community, and early support.
A few words to convince you?
Rise Above Parkinsons was founded by a husband and wife team after the husband was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease 15 years ago. Through their personal journey, they experienced firsthand the physical, emotional, and financial challenges Parkinson’s brings to individuals and families, and how many beneficial therapies and resources are not covered by insurance. They created the organization to help others access the support they need, reduce financial stress, and remind families facing Parkinson’s that they are not alone. By sharing their story, they also hope to inspire others to take up causes that matter to them and make a meaningful difference in their communities.
