The International Consciousness Research Laboratories
Research and Education
The International Consciousness Research Laboratories (ICRL) was established in 1996 to carry on the work of the Princeton Engineering Anomalies Research (PEAR) laboratory, which for nearly three decades investigated the role that consciousness plays in the structure and function of the universe. The results of that research were profound—that conscious intention can influence so called "objective" systems—and provides a scientific basis for rethinking our nature and the role we play in reality. It is a topic of skyrocketing interest today due to a variety of factors, from our attempts to comprehend the implications of Quantum Mechanics to the attention that has been rising from popular media, such as Dan Brown's recent book, "Secret of Secrets". ICRL has three primary mission: continuing the research of PEAR, providing educational resources to people of all backgrounds, and exploring ways in which PEAR's research findings can make real, tangible improvements in people's lives and society in general. We're a small, volunteer-driven organization that offers a combination of both online and in-person opportunities, and collaborates with like-minded organizations around the world to provide a solid scientific basis upon which we can appreciate the nature of consciousness and the interconnectedness of the whole of reality.
A few words to convince you?
We view podcasts as being one of, if not the, most effective ways to reach the broadest possible audience. Different hosts ask unique questions that highlight the importance of what we are doing, and each interview helps reach new people with information about the work of both ICRL and our sister organizations. As such Podcasthon is an ideal opportunity for us to reach a wealth of podcasts in an especially effective way.
