The Memorial Baptist Church has been an active and faithful part of the community since 1827. Over the years, the church has helped establish several other Baptist churches in the area and continues to thrive today as a vibrant, growing congregation. TMBC is a busy and engaged church with ministries that serve people of all ages and backgrounds. The church operates a food pantry twice a month, has an established preschool, and supports a Hispanic ministry. Its music and worship arts department is a vital part of church life and is well known for hosting popular candlelight concerts throughout the year. Outreach is central to TMBC’s mission. The church builds wheelchair ramps for individuals with disabilities, participates in Disaster Relief efforts, and serves families during the Christmas season through Angel Tree and Operation Christmas Child. TMBC also provides meals to local schoolchildren through its Backpack Buddies ministry. One unique outreach is the Street Fair Ministry, where church members prepare home-cooked meals, provide toiletries, and minister to fair workers during the week the fair is in town—an often overlooked group within the community. Each year, the church collects the 10/20 Offering, which supports several local ministries, including a counseling center, a children’s home, a nonprofit that provides groceries and financial literacy training to struggling families, the 3rd Street Education Center (which focuses on education and character development for young men), and the local homeless shelter. TMBC is a great church that cares for their community and they deserve a shout out!

A few words to convince you?

Having TMBC on a podcast would not only spotlight the church itself, but also highlight the many local nonprofits and ministries it actively supports. TMBC is eager to connect with more individuals in the community and to grow its congregation in order to deepen its impact and share the love of Jesus.
