Altruwe is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting altruism as a pragmatic solution to the challenges of the 21st century.

Altruwe and Podcasthon were co-founded by Yves (in France) and Jeremie (in Canada), two entrepreneurs eager to use their experience for &#8220;podcasting for good.&#8221;

Podcasthon is the world’s largest podcast charity initiative, bringing together podcasters globally to raise awareness for charitable causes. Behind this growing movement are two visionary co-founders: Jérémie Mani and Yves Delnatte.

<a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/jeremiemani/">Jérémie Mani</a> (<a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/jeremiemani/">Linkedin profile</a>) is a French entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience in the digital industry. Before dedicating himself entirely to Podcasthon, Jérémie built and sold two successful companies in email marketing and content moderation. After moving to Canada in 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, he began reflecting on how he could use his skills to make a meaningful impact. Rather than launching another business, he wanted to create something that would mobilize thousands of people for a greater cause. That’s where Podcasthon was born—a volunteer-driven initiative aimed at uniting the power of podcasting with the needs of charities.

He has founded and led multiple ventures across various industries, bringing a wealth of experience to the table. Yves&#8217;s journey has been marked by a commitment to leveraging business as a force for good, which naturally led him to co-found Podcasthon alongside Jérémie. His vision is to harness the intimacy and authenticity of podcasts to drive awareness for important causes, creating a global ripple effect of positive change.

Traditional fundraising methods like charity galas, marathons, and auctions have their limits. They often require large budgets, exclusive access, or short-lived engagement. Meanwhile, charities around the world struggle to reach new audiences and create long-term connections.
<h3 data-start="2614" data-end="2647">Our Vision for the Future</h3>
Podcasthon started in 2023 with 300 French-speaking podcasters. It grew to over 400 in 2024 and is now expanding worldwide. Our dream? To see Podcasthon become a global tradition, uniting thousands of podcasters in dozens of languages each year.
We believe that &#8220;podcasting for good&#8221; should be more than a buzzword. It should be a movement. By leveraging technology, storytelling, and community engagement, we hope to inspire millions of listeners to care, to act, and to make a difference—one podcast at a time.

On one hand, there is the exceptional listening quality of podcasts. On the other, the urgent need for charitable organizations to raise awareness and connect with a broader circle of supporters.

This very special episode of #LOL is part of #Podcasthon, the global charity podcast event! 💪 We are dedicating it to The People’s Theatre, a cause close to Rachel&#8217;s heart. ❤️ Supporting arts in Washington Heights and Inwood, The People’s Theatre (formerly People’s Theatre Project) makes theatre with and for immigrant communities to build a more just and equitable world.
On this episode of #LatinosOutLoud #RachelLaLoca is on location at The People&#8217;s Theatre offices UPTOWN BABY! She chats with Founding Executive Artistic Director, Mino Lora who was last a guest on the show back in November of 2020! Hear her many updates, including how she&#8217;s directing the new play written by another former guest of LOL, Marco Antonio Rodriguez called The Domino Effect. Mino also shares the status of the massive Centro Cultural Inmigrante, slated to open in 2026. This hub for the performing arts will amplify the voices of New York City’s diverse immigrant communities and cultivate work by local artists and arts organizations. This will mark the first dedicated theatre in Washington Heights &amp; Inwood, and the largest Latine-operated theater in New York State. The People’s Theatre will serve 28,000+ audience members and 300+ artists annually.
Rachel also chats with actress, Angela Reynoso on her role in The Domino Effect and a taste of what her impactful character will leave with audiences.
ABOUT THE PLAY
The Domino Effect, written by Dominican American Marco Antonio Rodriguez and directed by Dominican American Mino Lora, offers a moving portrayal of what it means to seek belonging in more ways than one. Premiering this April at A.R.T./New York Theatres, the play explores the triumphs, sacrifices, and resilience of immigrant and queer communities. At a time when rhetoric around immigration is divisive, and LGBTQ+ rights are being erased, this play serves as a unifying force—showcasing how these communities shape the fabric of our city and country.
