SparrowsMATTER provides a destination location for families with ADA and appropriate tailored equipment for exceptional kids who attend therapy weekly from nine school districts next door. We also provide relationship and resources to the families offering 49 by name. Furthermore. we host monthly tailored events that bring play with purpose. Seventeen volunteers host the playground, events and community involvement and awareness to adequately support families like bringing Shelia Walsh a long-term support to women for mental health and Nick V ministries with a focus on caregiver support. Our board policy is to never repeat what someone else is doing but get their resource and support into the hands of our almost 300 flock families.
We are finding others desire to follow the same model as a BOD. This concept of a nonprofit offering these services as volunteers without an added cost seems to be unique. The idea of such a strong building of collaboration for the entire family and the cross over of using secular and nonprofit resources is a dynamic result. We have grown so quickly in one year.
