Action for Dolphins

Action for Dolphins (AFD) is an Australian charity that works to protect dolphins and other small whales. AFD's mission is to end dolphin suffering by ending captivity and hunting, and by promoting marine conservation. What AFD does Campaign against hunting AFD campaigns to stop the hunting of dolphins and other small whales. For example, AFD campaigned against the Taiji Whale Museum and won a court case against them in 2016. Campaign against captivity AFD campaigns to end the captivity of dolphins and other small whales. AFD has won campaigns to ban captive dolphin breeding in New South Wales. Promote marine conservation AFD advocates for cleaner oceans by reducing pollution, promoting plant-based diets, and supporting strong nature laws. Educate the public AFD educates the public about the importance of marine conservation and how to responsibly interact with marine life. Promote institutional change AFD works to change laws and promote institutional changes that lead to safer lives for dolphins.
