Podcasthon is the world’s largest podcast charity initiative, bringing together podcasters globally to raise awareness for charitable causes. Behind this growing movement are two visionary co-founders: Jérémie Mani and Yves Delnatte.

<a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/jeremiemani/">Jérémie Mani</a> (<a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/jeremiemani/">Linkedin profile</a>) is a French entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience in the digital industry. Before dedicating himself entirely to Podcasthon, Jérémie built and sold two successful companies in email marketing and content moderation. After moving to Canada in 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, he began reflecting on how he could use his skills to make a meaningful impact. Rather than launching another business, he wanted to create something that would mobilize thousands of people for a greater cause. That’s where Podcasthon was born—a volunteer-driven initiative aimed at uniting the power of podcasting with the needs of charities.

He has founded and led multiple ventures across various industries, bringing a wealth of experience to the table. Yves&#8217;s journey has been marked by a commitment to leveraging business as a force for good, which naturally led him to co-found Podcasthon alongside Jérémie. His vision is to harness the intimacy and authenticity of podcasts to drive awareness for important causes, creating a global ripple effect of positive change.

Traditional fundraising methods like charity galas, marathons, and auctions have their limits. They often require large budgets, exclusive access, or short-lived engagement. Meanwhile, charities around the world struggle to reach new audiences and create long-term connections.
<h3 data-start="2614" data-end="2647">Our Vision for the Future</h3>
Podcasthon started in 2023 with 300 French-speaking podcasters. It grew to over 400 in 2024 and is now expanding worldwide. Our dream? To see Podcasthon become a global tradition, uniting thousands of podcasters in dozens of languages each year.
We believe that &#8220;podcasting for good&#8221; should be more than a buzzword. It should be a movement. By leveraging technology, storytelling, and community engagement, we hope to inspire millions of listeners to care, to act, and to make a difference—one podcast at a time.

On one hand, there is the exceptional listening quality of podcasts. On the other, the urgent need for charitable organizations to raise awareness and connect with a broader circle of supporters.

On march 21 we’re in the middle of Podcasthon charity event. It’s an annual charity event which sees podcasters come together to highlight different organisations, their work, and their impact
Drug use among young people is nothing new, but in recent years it has reached record levels, according to research published in 2022 by youth charity. They found that the number of 16 to 25 year olds taking drugs had increased by 50% since the previous year, reaching one in three.
Despite being illegal, these substances are widely consumed. That’s why some charities and associations have put in place harm reduction programs, to help minimise the risks associated with drug use at parties and festivals. An example of a charity doing that is Psycare UK, who have been operating for over a decade and offer services at events of all sizes.

BTW, he’s just a curious kid with the biggest imagination. And his dad, well he has a knack for turning George’s questions into hilarious entertainment. Together, they are the perfect companions for rainy days, boring car journeys, or nights when sleep just won’t come knocking.

Democracy, and freedom, die in ignorance. There is wilful ignorance, as in not wanting to know; there is collateral ignorance, as in watching silly videos and media feeds rather than seeking information; and there is imposed ignorance, when sources of information are cut off and denied.
The Trump administration is blatantly&nbsp;indulging in the latter — both internally and externally. Within the US, the administration is hand picking the media&nbsp;outlets it will deal with, while also dismantling the Department of Education. Outside the US, it has chosen to defund and potentially close both Radio Free Europe / Radio Liberty and the Voice of America — two amazing organisations that have brought facts and news to people across the globe, notably those in non-democratic regimes.
It seems that for the Trump administration journalism is passé, or worse: a threat. In a world where the boundaries between media, politics and business continue to erode, the likes of Trump, Elon Musk, and Jeff Bezos—owners of major media outlets—have become central figures in shaping public discourse. Moreover, the rise of entertainment news, change of habits, explosive volumes of news pose significant challenges for journalism today.
To explore these issues, Ilana Bet-El is joined by veteran BBC journalist Kate Adie. In a conversation rich with anecdotes from her storied career, she reflects on the evolution of media, the structural crises of today’s news industry and the fundamental role of journalism in society. Amid the explosion of information and the struggle to filter truth from noise, she argues that people—whether in Europe, the US, Russia, China, or Africa—basically&nbsp;seek real news and information,&nbsp;not propaganda. Because in the end, the truth still matters.

Y&#8217;all, this is very personal, and I&#8217;m so happy to have some of my closest friends join me to chat up our special place, Growing to Give.&nbsp;Growing to Give is a climate-friendly, volunteer-driven, nonprofit farming operation in Brunswick, Maine, that grows certified-organic vegetables for donation.&nbsp;I invited my friends Karin Sorensen, Robin Knight and Mary Aveno to help me to chat up our favorite non-profit where we all had the honor of helping to grow organic produce to donate to local food pantries to offer some highly nutritious produce to our less food secure neighbors. We all met there, and became fast friends, and more like family in the same purpose. We missed each other when we were absent, and celebrated every day we were together, and we did some great work (they still do, but Karin and I moved away), and have helped to grow and donate over 100,000 lbs of food! There are several other volunteers at Growing to Give &#8211; too many to gather for an episode and everyone get a word in, but that&#8217;s how the magic happens.
Growing to Give began as a dream of property owners Patty Carton and John Newlin in 2015, and 2017 was the first year officially growing, and Robin and I were the first 2 volunteers with Theda, the OG Farm Manager, with 1 Rimol greenhouse, and now it&#8217;s a well-oiled machine of hundreds of volunteers annually, several hoop houses for growing, as well as farm skills workshops, elderberry workshops, and an annual Farmyard Jam fundraiser. It&#8217;s a very special place of fun, healing and family.&nbsp;

I’m showcasing two of the most influential Irish environmental charities: the Irish Whale and Dolphin Group and the Irish Wildlife Trust.
The conversation with Pádraig Whooley from the Irish Whale and Dolphin Group reveals the challenges facing marine life in Irish waters. Pádraig explains how they’ve expanded from focusing solely on sightings and strandings to include welfare issues for living stranded animals. He discusses alarming changes in whale behaviour, linking them to destructive fishing practices where large trawlers target vital forage fish that form the foundation of marine ecosystems. Pádraig emphasises that successful conservation would involve implementing bans on industrial-scale fishing in Irish coastal waters and establishing meaningful marine protected areas—not just ‘paper parks’ but properly managed conservation zones.
Kieran Flood from the Irish Wildlife Trust shares insights into one of Ireland’s longest-established nature charities. Founded in 1979, the organisation focuses on protecting and restoring Ireland’s natural heritage through education, advocacy, and developing nature reserves. Kieran explains that despite Ireland’s green reputation, Irish biodiversity faces serious threats from intensive agriculture, forestry practices, and industrial fishing. The trust is currently focusing on supporting the implementation of the EU Nature Restoration Law, campaigning for effective marine protected areas through the Fair Seas coalition, and expanding their rewilding projects. He emphasises that perhaps the most important change needed is a fundamental shift in how people understand their connection to nature, recognising that humans are not separate from the natural world but an integral part of it.

 With no budget, Dr. C created a STEM+Arts and Arts+STEM based 3-week Summer program. This Pilot Summer Program launched on July 10, 2017 at the Bronx Engineering Technology Academy (BETA), JFK campus in the Bronx, NY.
Status in 2025
 After 7 years of hard work, the majority of our 2017 cohort students are now early career professionals. Our 2020 STEM learners start to enter the STEM workforce or a graduate training program. We are currently offering 4 main stream educational programs working with local, national and international STEM learners and their families, serving over 250 students annually.
